Beginning December
27, 2011, through January 31, 2012, county residents with yard waste collection may place
their undecorated, unbagged, live Christmas trees at
the curb by 6:30 a.m. on their regularly scheduled weekly yard waste collection day collection
day. (Wednesdays in Montpelier Hills) The trees will be picked up and turned into free mulch for county residents in the Spring (for mulch info call the DER's Recycling Section at 301-883-5045)
Residents may also
bring unadorned trees, free of charge, to the following
locations for recycling from December 27, 2011 through January 31, 2012.
